Ian P. Hicks has over 40 years of experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries, with 20 years focused on consulting, business analysis and strategic development. Ian demonstrates extensive knowledge and support in commercialization of challenging therapeutics, backed through a sound knowledge of patient flow, epidemiology and evolving markets. Having commercialized a number of therapies globally, Ian developed an acute understanding of the interplay between all disciplines involved in product commercialization and market optimization. In addition to assisting clients around the world with commercialization activities, Ian has supported numerous in and out licensing activities and global distribution agreements, as well as the building of commercial operations in Europe.

Ian holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa as well as a Teaching qualification from the Johannesburg college of Education and an advanced certification in Marketing. Ian worked at Lederle laboratories, as a Product Manager in dermatology and advanced to become a Global Marketing Director in oncology based in the USA, being involved in the commercialization of mitoxantrone internationally. He joined Allergan, where he developed the experience of commercializing Botox on a named-patient basis in the EU. During tenure at BMS and Vestar, Ian developed expertise in product in-licensing and commercialization as well as commercial operations set up, which led him to start his own business in the field of Business Development. His business was acquired by DaVinci Oncology partners, which was eventually itself acquired by Mattson Jack (Now KantarHealth). His skills and ability to effectively combine communication, leadership, technical, and clinical knowledge in oncology and other therapeutic areas encompass valuable offerings as a healthcare consultant and enable delivery of strategy and commercialization excellence for clients with attestable success.
